Papa’s Pizza Parlor began as a dream for 27 year old Dickie Spencer. His first store opened in July of 1972 and was located in Newton, NC. With a lot of hard work and a creative imagination it was an immediate success. As the years passed, Papa’s grew to a total of 12 locations through-out Catawba County and the surrounding areas. His dream was to move to the coast that he loved so much and continue the Papa’s tradition.
The secret of Papa’s success is due largely to the fact that Papa’s dough is made FRESH ….every day…right in the store. It is NEVER brought in on a truck pre-made. The pizza sauce is also made right in the store. Dickie has added a secret spice mixture to the sauce and lets it marinate for about 24 hours … That’s what makes it mmmmmmmm-mmmmmmmm-good. We also cut, chop or grind our vegetables to ensure that you get nothing but the freshest toppings in town. There are four sizes to choose from for your pizza appetite. The 10″ is perfect for those of you who like to have your very own pizza. The 12″ is more like a small and is cut in eight slices. The 16″ is like a large that is cut into 8 slices …. and then there is the 20″ pizza which is… well …… just HUGE!
Not in the mood for pizza? We also serve fresh chicken wings with eight flavors to choose from. Our menu also offers a wide variety of sandwiches with your choice of chips that are sure to delight your taste buds – or try one of our delicious pasta dinners or salads. There is something for everyone and almost every diet on our menu.
